2007, year of the FPS
Submitted by tabke on Mon, 2007-09-24 13:38.So today in #clanam (the ClanAM IRC channel at irc.freenode.net) I was waxing nostalgic about my 2 years in FFXI by reading old entries from Sam's FFXI blog and I realized that I really regret not blogged about my gaming experiences like him. So, this post is me trying to atone for my sins of omission by not blogging much before^^

Final Fantasy XI: 3 Years an counting.
Submitted by Xilldon on Wed, 2007-04-11 00:03.Three years ago I remember sliding my new PS2's HDD into its slot. So excited to play a new Final Fantasy. However this wasnt just any Final Fantasy, this was Final Fantasy XI: ONLINE. If you dont know Final Fantasy is an on going series from Japan, all of which until XI were single player offline. I am a fan of all the FF games myself so of course I would have this the moment I could!

Leggo my Lego Star Wars II
Submitted by tabke on Tue, 2006-09-19 08:53.Before I get into this, I need to set something straight. Star Wars Episodes IV, V, and VI are not the sequels to Star Wars Episodes I, II and III. How the hell can you release IV, V, and VI 20-some years before I, II, and III and call them sequels?! GAH!
But I digress... I find the Star Wars franchise to be horribly overrated. The original Star Wars movies were fun when I was a kid, but upon review once I was older their glossy venear was gone. The recent Star Wars movies were tedious and boring when they came out as an adult, as well as offensive as I watched them rape the last vestige of my childhood with stupid characters like Jar Jar Binks and moody, stupid Anakin. Why I watched Episode III when I knew it was going to suck is beyond me.
This is why I was so surprised that I loved Lego Star Wars I (which was Episodes I, II, and III re-enacted by Lego people) so much. Perhaps removing all the spoken dialog, adding tons of "Lego humor", and making all the characters waddle like Lego people was just what this peice of shit story needed.
When LSWII was released, I had to be one of the first people to get it. Naturally, since my 360 is my system of choice now, I got it for the 360.
In a nutshell, LSWII is everything that the first game was and more. However, it does have one feature that is both a strength and a weakness.

Oblivion, can it be any better?
Submitted by omgcookies on Thu, 2006-04-27 08:38.I love Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion. LOVE it. I could not love it any more. So, I was sitting there playing it (just finished up the Dark Brotherhood quests!) and I began to wonder: Could this game be any better?
Silent Hill
Submitted by Killjoy on Mon, 2006-04-03 11:00.In preparation of the new Silent Hill movie (coming out sometime this month is all I know) I've been going back and playing all of the Silent Hill games. I wanted to have the stories fresh in my mind so I can go into the movie and either appreciate what they've done with it, or be ready to tear it a new asshole LOL.
Since I've been playing them so much lately, I decided I should come here and blog about them as I do them.
The Passion of the PSP
Submitted by tabke on Sat, 2006-04-01 19:04.Ok, so Sam has been ranting about his PSP, and it is something I've wanted to get for a while, so I was goaded this week into buying on. $249 and you get two games, hey, who can beat that deal? So I bought it with Syphon Filter and... woah am I blown away!
First of all, if you don't know what Syphon Filter is, what rock have you been under? Syphon Filter started it's life as a moderately cheesy knock-off of MGS way back on the PS1. I remember it well, as I was sneak-game crazy at the time. Syphon Filter gave me that sneak-game fix to tide me over until the next big game. And Syphon Filter was among the better ones. It did a lot of things right including give you a character that you really liked.
